The Role
As the Estimator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of projects from the very beginning. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will develop comprehensive tenders, conduct site surveys, and assist in business development initiatives. This is a hands‑on role that requires a keen understanding of fit‑out and internal works, especially when there is limited information to work with.
Key Responsibilities
- Tendering & Estimating – Develop accurate and detailed tenders for interior fit‑out and joinery projects.
- Site Surveys – Conduct site surveys when pricing projects to ensure realistic cost estimates.
- Business Development – Collaborate on client meetings and opportunities to expand the business.
- Tender Development – Use Excel and other tools to manage tenders and price all relevant costs.
- Collaboration – Work closely with project teams to align tender assumptions and expectations with project goals.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in estimating and tendering for interior fit‑out, joinery manufacturing, or related sectors.
- Solid understanding of pricing projects with limited initial information.
- Proficiency in Excel and other estimating tools.
- Strong attention to detail and risk spotting.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proactive business development approach and relationship building.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, flexible for hybrid working.
