We are a well-established specialist design consultancy, part of a large utilities contractor group, focusing on structural design for projects in the power industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide complex design solutions for projects including substation design, battery storage facilities, blast-resistant buildings, switch houses, GIS buildings, transformer cell housing and specialist steelwork structures and supports underground and inside tunnels.
- Design in steel, concrete and masonry across a range of scales from small to multi-million pound schemes.
- Collaborate with an experienced engineering team and take responsibility for your own projects.
- Travel to sites in London and the South East as required; a pool car may be provided.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Recent graduates or graduates with up to 5 years of design experience in structural engineering.
- Strong desire for hands-on design work and a positive engineering attitude.
- Experience in the power sector is highly advantageous.
