A leading Civil & Environmental Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer to join their team in Richmond, London. With a strong reputation for sustainable design and public sector work – including with Transport for London and local authorities – you\’ll be supported to develop your technical skills and grow your career in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
Your Role
You\’ll support the delivery of drainage and flood risk projects from early-stage feasibility to detailed design. Responsibilities include:
- Designing SuDS and drainage systems using MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage or Causeway Flow
- Assisting with Flood Risk Assessments and planning submissions
- Producing technical drawings with AutoCAD
- Liaising with internal teams, clients, and local authorities
- Supporting junior colleagues and learning from senior engineers
What You\’ll Bring
- 2-4 years\’ UK consultancy experience
- Understanding of SuDS, drainage policy, and planning
- Experience with AutoCAD and drainage design software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or similar)
Desirable
Knowledge of CDM Regs, foul drainage, GIS, Civil 3D, or local authority experience.
