Role: We are supporting an established Block Management team in their search for a proactive Assistant Block Manager to support a Block Manager in delivering a high standard of service across a varied residential portfolio. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within block management, gaining exposure to all aspects of property operations, compliance, and client management.
Key Responsibilities
- Property Management
- Support the day-to-day management of residential blocks and communal areas
- Assist with site inspections and follow up on maintenance issues
- Coordinate contractors for cleaning, repairs, and compliance works
- Respond to resident queries and support complaint resolution
- Leasehold & Compliance
- Assist in ensuring compliance with lease agreements and legal obligations
- Support Section 20 consultation processes
- Help maintain accurate records and stay updated on leasehold legislation
- Health & Safety
- Support compliance with H&S and fire safety regulations
- Assist with arranging risk assessments, inspections, and insurance renewals
- Major Works
- Provide administrative and operational support on larger projects
- Liaise with contractors and help track timelines and budgets
- Communicate updates to leaseholders where required
- Stakeholder Management
- Build relationships with residents, leaseholders, and freeholders
- Support the preparation for AGMs and client reporting
- Legal & Disputes
- Assist in handling resident queries and low-level disputes
- Escalate more complex issues appropriately
- Support compliance with GDPR, AML, and relevant regulations
About You
- Minimum one year experience in residential/block property management
- Understanding of leasehold and service charge processes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
