A Clerk of Works job in London for a reputable multidisciplinary consultancy, joining their growing inspection and quality assurance team. The role offers a competitive package of up to £70,000 + Hybrid Working + 25 Days Holiday + Birthday Off + Christmas Shutdown + Private Healthcare.

The consultancy provides services to both private and public sector clients across project management, cost consultancy, CDM/Health & Safety, fire safety, building surveying, and building control, operating nationwide from multiple UK offices. Their quality and inspection team plays a key role in maintaining high standards across residential, commercial, and refurbishment projects. This position will report into senior leadership and offers strong long-term progression as the business continues to expand.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Undertake regular site inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and UK building regulations
  • Monitor contractor workmanship, materials, and construction methods
  • Identify and report defects, non-compliance, or deviations from agreed standards
  • Provide technical guidance to contractors and project teams
  • Produce clear and detailed inspection reports
  • Support quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or in a similar construction/site inspection role
  • MRICS or MICWCI qualification essential
  • Experience in façades and façade remediation advantageous
  • Strong understanding of UK construction techniques, building regulations, and health & safety standards
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
