Role Overview
My client is a firm of engineering consultants with offices across the UK.
They are looking for a Civil Technician based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, to support a variety of building and civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Use Auto CAD and Civil 3D to support the design of civil infrastructure, including local roads, residential, and underground drainage systems.
- Prepare and check engineering calculations and technical output such as drawings and reports.
- Ensure quality and consistency of the team's technical deliverables.
- Communicate with contractors during construction and liaise with statutory bodies such as Water Companies, Local Authorities and the Environment Agency.
- Support the team in maintaining project documentation and technical standards.
Qualifications
- Post‑graduation qualification in Civil Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Civil Technician in a UK consulting engineering firm.
- Experience with local roads, underground drainage systems and road standards suitable for residential and other buildings.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and Auto CAD.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Strong communication skills.
