Role Overview
Join a diverse team of construction and design experts working for a small specialist architectural practice in Birmingham. The role is for a CDM Consultant, Assistant CDM Consultant or Principal Designer to join the team and support the Principal Designer/BRPD Director on delivering design risk management projects for clients. This vacancy is ideal for someone who can already do the Principal Designer role, or for someone with some basic knowledge who wants to develop.
Responsibilities
- Support the Principal Designer/BRPD Director on delivering design risk management projects for clients.
- Manage multiple projects and work to deadlines; provide report writing and develop this skill if needed.
- Collaborate with a team of safety professionals on high‑profile local projects.
- Attend office location for initial training and colleague integration, with a hybrid working model after the first 3 months.
- Receive close support and structured on‑the‑job training to aid development.
Qualifications
- Relevant health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Construction or General is essential.
- Alternatively, a background or qualification in design is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop.
- Prior experience in report writing is advantageous.
