The Role
Bellway’s Essex division is seeking a Project Delivery Director to join our Construction team. The Director will provide overall operational leadership, construction delivery and performance for Springstead Village, reporting to the Managing Director of Bellway Essex Division. The role ensures efficient, safe and high‑quality delivery of this major joint‑venture development in line with the agreed business plan, programme and governance framework.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead the overall delivery and operational performance of the Springstead Village development.
- Provide strategic leadership across all construction and production activities on site.
- Coordinate technical, procurement, buying and construction functions to ensure efficient and compliant delivery.
- Manage and lead large multidisciplinary delivery teams and subcontract supply chains.
- Drive programme certainty and delivery against business plan milestones and KPIs.
- Ensure the highest standards of build quality, customer service and health & safety performance are consistently achieved.
- Maintain a strong focus on achieving and sustaining five‑star HBF customer satisfaction standards.
- Oversee, review and challenge construction programmes, sequencing and operational methodologies.
- Ensure robust contract administration and subcontract management processes are in place and adhered to.
- Work collaboratively with divisional leaders and joint‑venture stakeholders to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Prepare and present regular operational, commercial and strategic updates to the joint‑venture board.
