Full-Time, Temporary (Ongoing Contract)
Working on local authority housing stock.
Responsibilities
- Working across occupied and void social housing properties, you will be responsible for:
- Completing a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations
- Hanging doors, fitting kitchen units, worktops, skirting, architraves
- Window board repairs, lock replacements, handles and ironmongery
- Carrying out basic multi-trade tasks such as patch plastering, tiling, basic plumbing, painting & decorating
- Logging work and updates using a PDA or mobile device
- Ensuring all work meets required standards and complies with health & safety procedures
- Providing a professional and respectful service to tenants in occupied homes
What You’ll Need
- NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience)
- Competency in additional trades (tiling, patch plastering, basic plumbing, decorating)
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Previous experience working in social housing, council housing, or domestic property maintenance
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
