My client is a firm of engineering consultants specialising in geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects, working alongside other consulting firms and maintaining UK offices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ground investigation projects, both site‑based and office‑based.
  • Specify, operate and interpret geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations.
  • Supervise borehole drilling, conduct infiltration testing, ground gas monitoring and groundwater sampling.
  • Research and compile geological, hydrogeological, historical, topographical and environmental site information.
  • Provide foundation recommendations and advice on ground conditions, soil infiltration, contamination assessments and remediation verification.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Appropriate degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline; an MSc in these fields or similar Civil Engineering is desirable.
  • Experience in ground investigation planning, specification, supervision and interpretative reporting.
  • Experience in designing earthworks and geotechnical solutions.
  • Full UK driving licence to travel to sites as required.
