Structural Engineer – £38k-£45k + monthly bonus. Buckhurst Hill, IG9.
Are you a high achieving structural engineer? Would you be keen to join a dynamic, social and innovative structural engineering practice in IG9? The office is a short walk from a Central Line station. Current staff highly recommend.
This opportunity is suitable for an academically strong candidate with high aspirations aiming to achieve Chartership quickly (if not already achieved). A candidate with 2-5 years of experience is likely to be a good fit for this role. The Director is MIStructE, MICE and an ICE Examiner.
The Director provides close mentoring within a smaller practice. The firm has been operating for over 8 years, with plans to expand. An excellent monthly bonus scheme is offered in addition to the basic salary.
The firm currently has 10 staff and good office space near the station, with amenities including a pool table, table tennis table and a beer fridge. The company has a fun social life, including an annual trip abroad.
Responsibilities
Work on a varied portfolio including architecturally led private houses, large multi-storey developments, a 3 x 30 storey tower project, a new 8-storey hotel, rooftop apartments and a multi-storey RC frame commercial project.
Be involved in all stages of projects, including client exposure, site visits and design in all main materials.
Assist with mentoring graduates and less experienced colleagues.
Qualifications
Academic background with a MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering from a top UK university, 2.1 or above.
2-5 years of experience in a structural design practice.
Interest in architecturally challenging projects, and strong teamwork skills.
