The Opportunity

As a Senior Transport Planner, you’ll take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, acting as a key point of contact for clients, local authorities and project teams. You’ll work closely with senior management while helping to develop and mentor less experienced colleagues.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Producing and reviewing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals and related technical reports
  • Managing multiple projects and ensuring delivery to programme and budget
  • Undertaking and reviewing junction capacity assessments and transport modelling outputs
  • Providing technical input into highway and access design schemes
  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, clients and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Supporting planning applications and strategic development projects
  • Attending client meetings, public consultations and stakeholder engagement events
  • Assisting with business development activities, proposals and fee submissions
  • Mentoring and supporting Graduate and Transport Planners within the team

About You

  • Several years of experience within a transport planning consultancy environment
  • Proven track record delivering transport planning projects across residential, commercial, education and mixed‑use developments
  • Experience preparing and reviewing technical transport planning reports
  • Strong working knowledge of junction modelling and transport assessment methodologies
  • Experience engaging with local authorities, clients and wider project stakeholders
  • Sound understanding of the UK planning system and development process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available)
