Accounts Assistant – West Hampstead
A well‑respected estate agency with over 20 years of experience is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support day‑to‑day accounts responsibilities for a residential portfolio.
The role is full‑time and based in the West Hampstead area of London.

Responsibilities
- Process incoming tenant rents, reconcile service charge accounts and ensure correct funds are allocated to landlords.
- Accounts Payable: process, code and pay contractor and supplier invoices for property maintenance and repairs.
- Register tenant deposits with authorised protection schemes and process release payments at the end of tenancies.
- Perform weekly or monthly reconciliations for client bank accounts and tenant deposit accounts.
- Monitor rent arrears, send follow‑up reminders to tenants and escalates uncollected payments.
- Manage contractor invoices and payments and liaise with contractors and leaseholders regarding invoices and payments.
- Review VAT returns.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years' experience with Xero and Block Management.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Confidence in effective and efficient communication.
- Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm; Fridays finish at 5:30 pm. Office‑based.
