Job Description
Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) is looking for a technically skilled and motivated Web and Data Specialist to join our Digital Campaigning team in London.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of national politics, building the data, audience and web foundations that our digital campaigns depend on. If you like solving technical problems, shaping how supporters are reached, and seeing your work go live at pace, this is for you.
You’ll own the audience and data side of our email and CRM work and build and maintain the websites and pages that our campaigns drive people to.
Working in a fast-paced political environment, you’ll collaborate with the campaign, communications, digital and political teams to turn strategy into working products at both national and local level.
This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely technical, data-driven and delivery-focused, and who wants their work to make a measurable difference to a national campaign.
Your responsibilities:
- Build, update and maintain campaign websites and pages, including new pages and templates, ensuring they are accurate, engaging and optimised to support campaign objectives.
- Build and manage supporter and member audiences in the CRM, including assisting with segmentation, list management and data hygiene, so the right message reaches the right people.
- Improve website performance and technical health, including back-end reliability.
- Set up and maintain tracking, tags and reporting across email and web, so campaign performance can be measured and improved.
- Use audience insights and results to continually improve how campaigns are targeted and delivered.
- Support paid social and digital content work where needed, particularly the landing pages, tracking and audiences behind it.
- Ensure all activity complies with electoral law, GDPR, imprint requirements and platform policies.
Your professional experience:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience with CRM and email platforms
- Practical web development experience, including building and editing pages and templates and working with a content management system. Front and back-end skills an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate web development is desirable.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, and comfort setting up tracking and interpreting results.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving political environment, with strong communication and organisational skills.
