The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.

The team deliver practical environmental improvement and conservation work 3-4 days each week, engaging local communities and other volunteer groups across a range of locations in the Humber and East Riding of Yorkshire. We are seeking a highly organised, adaptable, motivated and committed person to join the team for this important post. This post holder will work alongside other staff on the delivery of a variety of practical conservation projects.

Key responsibilities of this post include:

  • Working alongside other staff members to ensure efficient and professional delivery of practical works.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Several years of experience working in the environment sector or similar.
  • Understanding of a range of practical conservation tasks, including tree planting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people with varying abilities as well as children.
  • Personal qualities of resourcefulness and flexibility.
  • Competency certification to operate a variety of machinery and powered equipment relevant to the sector would be advantageous although not a necessity.

Holiday entitlement for any work undertaken will be calculated quarterly and paid to you. You will be required to drive a TCV vehicle with up to 8 passenger seats. A standard full UK Driving Licence held for at least a year is required. Please note the Sessional Worker role would require your occasional services on a casual, fixed-term basis. Due to the nature of our business, and this role, we are unable to anticipate exactly how many days per week/month we will require your services. To fulfil the role, you must be resident in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
