The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.
This is a chance to make a real difference for nature and for people. You will be responsible for planning and running weekly practical conservation activities for volunteers at two long term project sites, Woodham and Wymondley, as well as putting together and running a weekly Sunday task project at a range of sites around Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas. You will assist with volunteer recruitment and retention, publicity, reporting and other administration tasks to ensure the smooth safe running of projects. You will be required to help with other tasks as required by the Bedford team on occasion.
Responsibilities
- Plan and run weekly practical conservation activities for volunteers at Woodham and Wymondley.
- Organise and run a weekly Sunday task project at various sites across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment and retention, publicity, reporting and other administration to ensure smooth and safe operation of projects.
- Help with other tasks as required by the Bedford team.
Qualifications
- Good level of experience of practical conservation including grassland, woodland and pond management.
- Experience of working with volunteers in a similar capacity, planning and managing projects, and proven ability to work flexibly within a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and an organised approach.
- Ability and willingness to work every Sunday.
