A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Development Admin Assistant to join our innovative and eclectic Furniture and Lighting division. As a pivotal member of the team, you will provide critical admin support throughout all stages of the product development process and product life cycle, and you will be the first point of contact for all administrative queries and be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the department. This is an administrative position requiring strong excel and organisational skills.

About the role:

  • Setting up orders and suppliers
  • Maintenance of all SKU detail within the business
  • Ensuring the smooth running of critical path
  • Executing competitor analysis with regular comp shops
  • Ensuring all samples are received and approved in a timely manner
  • Supporting with product, packaging and testing documentation
  • Managing the swatch library
  • Creating product presentations for meetings
  • Liaising with and cultivating good relationships with the Retail, Ecommerce, Logistics and Merchandising teams
  • Acting as support with Franchise partners

About you:

  • 1-2 years admin experience ideally in a buying department
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to take responsibility and to work as part of a team
  • Good organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to complete tasks in good time and to an excellent standard
  • An understanding of The Conran Shop aesthetic and its product offer
  • An understanding of retail maths and be familiar with reporting key performance indicators
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm to carry out all aspects of the role
  • Some related Buying admin experience preferred
  • Excel knowledge required
  • Some experience of Furniture and Lighting categories is preferable but not essential
