We have a new and exciting opportunity to appoint an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic and friendly operations team. The post-holder will have the opportunity to work in our Same Day Urgent Care service, dealing with a wide range of patient health needs across the local area. You will be supported in your role through the clinical leads across the services you are working in as well as an experienced and friendly management and administration team. Hillingdon celebrates working in partnership to achieve positive outcomes for patients whilst creating a positive work environment. Working in Hillingdon also means you have access to our outstanding training hub providing support and development to clinicians working in the area. This post may require you to travel between sites within the borough of Hillingdon as and when required. You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold a pin and a certificate of completion of training.

Main duties of the job:

  • Make yourself available to undertake a variety of advanced nurse practitioner duties including prescribing medication, medical cervical smear tests, post-operative dressings, HRT reviews, Pill Checks, Immunisations, BP checks, asthma checks, diabetic reviews, and spirometry if trained.
  • Assess the health needs of patients with chronic health needs and use your own judgment to assess whether further input is needed.
  • Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Contribute to QOF requirements and record data appropriately.
  • Contribute to PCN requirements and record data appropriately.
