A leading MEP contracting business is seeking an experienced Head of Quality Assurance to lead and transform its quality function across the organisation. This is a senior leadership role responsible for developing, embedding, and continuously improving a robust Quality Management System, while driving digital transformation of QA processes through PROCORE. You will play a pivotal role in shaping quality strategy, strengthening compliance, and ensuring right-first-time delivery across complex, high-value projects.
The Role
- Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and industry best practice.
- Review, modernise, and standardise QA procedures, work instructions, and templates across the business.
- Drive the migration and digitisation of QA systems into PROCORE, ensuring strong governance, version control, and audit readiness.
- Provide expert guidance to project and operational teams on quality requirements and compliance.
- Lead internal and external audits, manage non-conformances, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee achievement and maintenance of industry accreditations and certifications.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing QA team.
- Produce quality performance reports, KPIs, and improvement plans for senior leadership.
About You
- Proven senior-level experience in a Quality or QA leadership role within MEP or construction contracting.
- Strong experience managing ISO 9001-aligned Quality Management Systems.
- A track record of reviewing and modernising QA procedures.
- Extensive internal and external audit experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant qualification in Quality Management or Engineering.
- Desirable:
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
- Experience in a £250m+ turnover organisation.
- Familiarity with integrated management systems (Quality, H&S, Environmental).
- Experience supporting bids, tenders, and client audit processes.
