The Marketing and Commercial Manager will support and deliver marketing and commercial activities for The Compatriot Limited (t/a Mokad Foods) as the business diversifies its operating model from a predominantly business-to-consumer (B2C) approach to a broader business-to-business and business-to-market (B2B/B2M) strategy. The role is required to support this diversification by coordinating targeted marketing campaigns, conducting market and competitor analysis, and supporting commercial activity aimed at wholesalers, distributors, retailers, and strategic partners within the UK market. The position focuses on the effective implementation of agreed marketing and commercial plans to support sustainable revenue growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of marketing and commercial plans aligned with the company’s B2B/B2M diversification strategy.
- Coordinate multi-channel marketing campaigns targeting trade, wholesale, and commercial customers.
- Conduct market research, customer segmentation, and competitor analysis to support entry into new commercial markets.
- Assist with pricing reviews, promotional activity, and product or service positioning for trade customers.
- Prepare marketing materials, presentations, and commercial documentation suitable for B2B audiences.
- Maintain and update CRM systems, customer databases, and marketing performance records.
- Monitor campaign performance using analytics tools and produce regular reports for senior management.
- Support contract administration, client communications, and commercial documentation.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, distributors, and external marketing agencies.
- Ensure all marketing activity complies with UK legislation, including GDPR and advertising standards.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a marketing or commercial support role.
- Experience coordinating marketing campaigns, preferably including B2B or trade-focused activity.
- Ability to analyse market and performance data and prepare reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related subject.
- Equivalent professional experience in a marketing or commercial role.
Additional Information
This role is eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under SOC 2432, subject to meeting UKVI requirements. Salary and working conditions meet the Skilled Worker visa requirements. Appointment is subject to right-to-work checks and standard pre-employment screening.
