Mersen UK Teesside Ltd is a key graphite manufacturing unit of Graphite Specialities Divisions of Mersen supporting our UK and European customer base.
The Role: We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer who will be visiting customers (minimum 3 days per week at customers & 2 days hybrid working, preparing and follow up actions) to promote our Anticorrosion Equipment products and after sales services. We are looking for an experienced Sales professional who will support our UK customers and liaise with our Mersen Anticorrosion Equipment production sites (UK, France, Germany and China). You will be developing relationships with existing customers, whilst actively looking for new business opportunities.
Duties of the role (but not limited to) include:
- To build strong customer relationships with existing and new customers.
- To answer customer’s request timely and provide in-depth technical advice to potential or current customers.
- To negotiate terms and conditions of orders within delegation rules.
- To issue timely customer visit reports in the CRM system.
- To participate in regular Sales meetings and reviews.
- To collaborate with internal partners to provide adequate solutions and service to customers.
- To contribute and support the Sales Budget.
Please note, this position will require European travel to Ireland on a regular basis to visit customers, together with occasional visits to France and Germany for Mersen Sales Meetings or accompanying customers to our Mersen Anticorrosion Equipment production sites.
Person Specification:
- At least 3 years’ experience at Sales Engineer level.
- Experience in selection of corrosion resistant materials, heat exchangers and sales to the chemical / API pharmaceutical industries would be advantageous.
- Candidates must be educated to at least degree level or hold equivalent and demonstratable work experience.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Packages.
