Our Kitchen Porters are an important part of our kitchen teams, working with the Head Chef, Kitchen and Front of House teams to deliver clean kitchens and great hospitality to our guests and the team.
The KP’s are passionate about cleanliness and supporting the team to deliver great plates of food. With responsibility for all aspects of their station to deliver a high standard of cleanliness across the whole kitchen.
Working hard within the team the KP will deliver consistent standards of cleanliness and tidiness and be an engaged and motivated member of the team. Our KP’s can be found washing dishes, helping with food preparation, deep cleaning equipment and ensuring hygiene standards are kept to a high level.
Essential Requirements:
- Preferably have a level 2 in food hygiene and experience of all current legislation although this is not the most important requirement for us.
- You have a passion for cleanliness
- You’re a confident communicator and know what hard work our standards require.
- Your attention to detail is first class and always strive to give your best every day.
- Our KP’s are not someone who is only interested in “washing dishes” and doesn’t want to get involved with the Kitchen service to learn new skills. They are not someone who doesn’t want to be engaged with the wider team at both venue and group level.
Skill and experience are necessary to do this job, but more than anything else, we want someone who shares our vision of a hospitality industry that is better and sees themselves being part of the team who can make this happen!
We pay a fair wage – with our hourly pay being higher than the Government rates, at a minimum. Your earnings will be further enhanced by our 10% service charges and other tips that guests leave – with 100% of tips being retained by the team.
