At Bowfield, our Fitness Coaches are the driving force behind a member's journey — from their very first gym induction, through their getting-started programme, to keeping them motivated and on track for the long term. You'll be a constant, approachable presence on the gym floor, helping members feel confident, supported, and part of the Bowfield community from day one.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering group gym inductions that give new members a great first experience of the club
  • Creating tailored training programmes for members based on their goals and ability
  • Playing a key role in the member onboarding and welcome experience
  • Maintaining a constant, visible presence on the gym floor — coaching technique, guiding members, and answering fitness and equipment questions
  • Running Back on Track sessions to re-engage members who've lost momentum
  • Covering classes off shift when required, paid at the standard class rate
  • Supporting the wider team with cleaning, standards, and compliance tasks as needed — though your time will be focused primarily on coaching and member-facing work, with Health Club Attendants covering cleaning/compliance duties alongside you

What we're looking for:

  • A Level 3 Personal Training qualification (REPs/CIMSPA registered)
  • Confidence and warmth on the gym floor — someone who naturally strikes up conversation and puts members at ease
  • A genuine passion for helping people build sustainable fitness habits, not just deliver a session
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt coaching style to different members' needs and confidence levels
  • A team player who's happy to support wider club standards when needed

Why join us?

At Bowfield, we're more than a club — we're a community. You'll be part of a supportive team where your contribution really matters, with opportunities to grow your skills and career in a premium health club environment.

Here's what we offer:

  • Profit-sharing opportunities — share in the success you help create
  • Free gym membership and discounts across the Manorview Group
  • On‑site parking, discounted food & beverage, and exclusive team perks
  • Regular company events and team recognition
  • Ongoing training, coaching, and development tailored to your goals
