About the Role
As Assistant Health Club Manager, you’ll help oversee the running of the Health Club, supporting the Health Club Manager in delivering Manorview’s premium standards. You’ll lead by example, assist in guiding the team, and help create an environment where members love to train, relax, and return.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Health Club Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Health Club, pool, fitness areas, and group exercise programme.
- Assist in leading and motivating a team of fitness professionals, receptionists, and club support team.
- Help drive member recruitment, retention, and satisfaction initiatives.
- Contribute to achieving financial performance targets, including monitoring budgets and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain high facility standards through regular checks and coordination of maintenance.
- Assist with marketing and promotional activities in partnership with the central marketing team.
- Champion excellent customer service, coaching team members to deliver an outstanding experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a supervisory or senior role within a health club, leisure centre, or premium fitness facility.
- Strong people skills – able to motivate and support a team.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of membership growth and retention.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator and relationship-builder with members and team.
- Knowledge of health & safety and operational standards.
- Flexible and hands-on approach – visible and active in the club daily.
