An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven marketing professional to join the team at Manorview as a Head of Marketing / Marketing Director. Responsible for delivering and leading marketing activities and campaigns across our collection of hotels, wedding venues, bars, restaurants, spa and late night venues, it’s an extremely diverse role in a fast paced environment, where every day is different.
Manorview is a Scottish hospitality group formed in 2017. With 500+ strong people, we’re one team, with one goal – to make life better, through hospitality.
Having experienced consistent growth, we have a diverse portfolio of hospitality experiences – from a romantic Scottish castle, to a boutique sea-side hotel, and popular countryside spa hotel. As such, our Marketing department are kept busy; ensuring we deliver leads for our sales teams, drive conversions, generate brand awareness and attract footfall.
The role is challenging but rewarding. It’s perfect for marketing professionals who like to work at pace, work with excellent products and services, and use both their creativity and smart thinking to get results.
Leading a team of fellow marketers, as well as two designers, the successful candidate will report directly to our Managing Director. You will work closely with the Group Sales Manager, Operations Director, General Managers and various members of our venue teams too.
Experience in the hospitality sector would be highly useful and valuable, but if this isn’t something you have, we would still encourage you to apply.
Key Deliverables & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns for seasonal and tactical activity
- Create and maintain a ‘what’s on’ calendar for our venues, ensuring we plan marketing activity and events in advance.
- Brief our Digital Marketing agency, overseeing SEO and paid digital marketing activity across our venues.
- Oversee and guide the work of the marketing team, maintaining great quality work and ensuring we meet key objectives.
- Oversee our social channels and websites to ensure they are being used effectively.
- Managing marketing budgets
- Work with our Ops and Sales teams to understand challenges and problem areas, and offering effective marketing suggestions to overcome them
- Manage priorities and workflow coming through the marketing team, to ensure work is delivered in a timely manner, and deadlines are met.
- Work with advertisers, press and media to help us meet marketing and business objectives.
- Support General Managers/venue teams with their marketing needs.
- Lead the team effectively, and ensure people feel valued and developed.
- Work with the team to ensure all marketing work delivered is on-brand.
What sort of candidate we’re looking for:
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 6 years experience in a marketing role
- Ideally a marketing qualification, though experience is more vital
- Great attention to detail, and excellent timekeeping and organisational skills.
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of working with design/creative teams first hand
- Excellent writing and proof-reading skills (English language)
- Experience of planning and executing multi-channel campaigns
- Good understanding of Google Adwords, Paid Social and Organic Social
- Experience of working with web CMS (Wordpress and/or Umbraco)
- Strong ability to understand and define goals, create briefs, and steer work.
- Experience of managing multiple brands.
- Strong ability to plan and prioritise effectively – being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
