Overview: Our client is a well-respected Freight Global Forwarding Company with complete global coverage. Due to their continued expansion, they are looking for a New Business BDM to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Drive growth of the business to new customers
- Generate new leads and maintain a healthy pipeline
- Communicate effectively with potential new customers to drive revenue, profit growth and increased engagement
- Put customers’ requirements at the heart of what we do, delivering high quality customer service at all times
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers; address needs and resolve issues swiftly
- Communicate, present and influence credibly at all levels of organisations
- Negotiate and finalise contracts with prospective customers
- Visit customers and potential customers to promote company services
- Understand and promote the company strategy
- Establish key contacts and connections across the wider sector
- Develop a deep understanding of customers’ business, including group and extended opportunities; assess competitive influences
- Ensure potential customers are aware of the latest solutions
- Identify cross-functional service/product opportunities
- Work with operations and project teams to ensure swift, high-quality onboarding of customers

- Proven and successful track record of multi-modal freight sales
- Demonstrable achievements in a similar role within the logistics market
- Strong understanding of working collaboratively across functions to achieve success
