We are looking for a part-time Venue Manager to join our talented team at Phonox. Phonox joined London’s clubbing scene in September 2015. The renowned South London venue hosts world-class DJs in a world-class environment and is powered by Funktion-One sound system. Phonox expertly showcases the best in house, techno, disco, drum & bass and electronica. This role is up to £17phr, working 30-35 hours per week.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing all aspects of Phonox's daily operations, ensuring smooth service and an exceptional guest experience.
- Leading and developing a professional, customer-focused team through effective recruitment, training, and coaching.
- Creating and maintaining a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for guests and staff.
- Managing staff scheduling, stock control and venue presentation to uphold the highest operational standards.
- Supporting and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and achieve financial targets.
- Monitoring budgets, controlling costs and analysing performance to maximise profitability.
- Working closely with our programming, marketing and senior management teams to deliver standout club nights and events.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a managerial role within hospitality or nightlife, ideally in electronic music venues.
- A strong understanding and genuine passion for the London electronic music scene.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and people-management skills.
- The ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced, late-night environment.
