We're looking for a Chef de Partie / Grill Chef to join our talented team at the Jazz Cafe in Camden. The world-famous Jazz Cafe is a home for rising stars and legendary performers in soul, hip hop, jazz, electronic and world music. Our restaurant sits on a stunning mezzanine overlooking the stage, offering one of the most unique dining experiences in the city.
You’ll be leading a section delivering delicious globally inspired street food dishes and club classics. This is a great opportunity for a reliable, ambitious chef who takes pride in cooking consistent, high-quality plates in a fast-paced, fun environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Cooking dishes to spec with precision, consistency, and care
- Owning your section and keeping it clean, organised and service-ready
- Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to keep the service running smoothly
- Handling fresh ingredients properly, making sure everything is prepped and stored correctly
- Making sure every dish looks great and is portioned perfectly before it leaves the pass
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Chef de Partie or similar level in a busy kitchen
- Someone who can follow recipes and plating standards to the letter
- A calm, focused chef who thrives during busy services
- A real team player with a love for great food and high standards
- Good communication, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
What to Expect:
- Competitive Pay: £12.75 per hour plus tronc (total package usually in the range of £13.75 - £14.50 per hour). Hourly wages paid every two weeks on a Friday and tronc paid on the last Friday of the month.
- Dynamic Shifts: Work a variety of daytime and evening shifts at our restaurant and music venue.
