Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take the lead on complex product development projects while mentoring and developing engineering talent? Our client is an innovative engineering consultancy, partnering with organisations across a range of sectors to develop cutting‑edge products and solutions. The Role

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical design strategy and technical decision‑making across multiple projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders to develop robust solutions from concept generation through to DFM, validation and production. You will be the technical focal point but also carry out line manager duties to a team of 7 engineers.

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership / mentorship of a mechanical engineering team
  • Taken ownership of full lifecycle projects
  • Worked on a variety of projects within different industries
