You’ll be working within the supply chain function where you’ll be given a lot of responsibility within procurement. You'll be looking over supplier management, keeping existing suppliers happy and onboarding new suppliers where required. Need to have strong cost negotiation skills to maximise value and minimise costs. You have the opportunity to quickly develop your skills/experience.
You will be working within a fast paced and fast progressing business who have a very healthy pipeline with lots of long term contracts. You can expect your key points of contact on a daily basis to be the external suppliers, internal engineers and the senior leadership team so you must feel confident at communicating across all levels.
Duties will be varied and will include:
- General procurement of machined, fabricated components and consumables
- Sourcing new suppliers and conducting supplier appraisals
- Monitoring suppliers
- Generating reports and spreadsheets
You will need to have at least five years experience within a procurement/buyer position within engineering. You need to have worked on MRP, ERP or SAP systems and have Excel experience.
You’ll be working with some world famous brands, the majority of which are in the Motorsport industry; however, they also supply products into the Aerospace, MOD and Marine industries, so as you can imagine quality is of the utmost importance.
You’ll be based within a specially kitted out manufacturing facility, one that you would be proud to call work, which is conveniently located on the outskirts of Milton Keynes centre. The senior management team are a very hard working and dedicated group, so someone who shares that approach will no doubt thrive in this company.
