We are partnering with a well established business to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager. This is a key role within the finance team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial accounting, reporting and controls while leading a small team. There is a clear progression route, making it a strong opportunity for someone looking to step up in the near term. The role will suit a technically strong accountant who enjoys being hands on, improving processes and working closely with both finance and non finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small financial accounting team
- Own the general ledger and month end close process
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Support statutory accounts and manage the audit process
- Act as a key contact for auditors and external stakeholders
- Manage cash, treasury and intercompany activities
- Drive improvements across processes, controls and systems
- Support wider finance initiatives and team development
Key Requirements
- Qualified accountant ACA ACCA or equivalent
- Strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting
- Experience in practice and or industry
- Comfortable working in a hands on, detail focused role
- Exposure to audit statutory reporting or group structures is beneficial
- Team player with a proactive can do approach
