A permanent night shift role on a site that's expanding, investing, and strengthening its engineering function year on year. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join a growing manufacturing site that’s investing heavily in new machinery, new lines, and site expansion. This is a permanent night shift role, ideal for an engineer who enjoys autonomy, variety, and working on modern equipment.
You’ll be confident electrically and mechanically, comfortable fault-finding under pressure, and proactive in keeping the site running safely and efficiently.

As part of the on-site engineering team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of Food Manufacturing equipment, covering:
- Breakdown response and fault finding
- Planned and preventative maintenance
- Machine servicing and improvement projects
- Installation and commissioning of new equipment
You’ll work both independently and alongside others, liaising closely with production to minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance in line with the PPM schedule
- Diagnose faults and complete effective breakdown repairs
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and lines
- Liaise with production teams to reduce downtime and support on improvement projects
- Supervise and support external contractors on site
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- History within Food/Manufacturing/FMCG industries.
