The Role:

You will join a small but skilled engineering team on a busy food manufacturing site, taking ownership of preventative maintenance, reactive engineering support, and equipment improvements across a range of electro-mechanical assets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering periodic & condition-based PPM on production equipment
  • Quick and efficient fault-finding and breakdown response
  • Fabricating and machining parts (lathe, milling, welding)
  • Supporting CI projects and operational improvements
  • Working with the Operations team to maximise equipment performance
  • Keeping documentation up to date and using the CMMS system effectively
  • Liaising with contractors and supporting site upgrades
  • Ongoing training and development to maintain professional competence

There will be an on-call requirement which will include a standby charge and increased rate if called out.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electro-Mechanical preferred)
  • Strong mechanical & electrical fault-finding ability
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Confident with fabrication and machining techniques
  • Able to work at height and in confined spaces
  • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics & motion control
  • PLC logic understanding (desirable)
