Senior Maintenance Engineer\\n Nottingham\\n Monday-Friday\\n £50,000 – £60,000 DOE\\n\\nOverview\\n We're working with a high-growth manufacturing client in Nottingham seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead from the front in a fast-paced, automated production environment. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a young engineering team, embed standards, and directly influence reliability and performance in a high-compliance, food-grade facility.\\n\\nThis is a hands-on, senior-level role where you'll own the technical standards, lead root-cause diagnostics, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement across critical assets.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nLead planned and reactive maintenance across high-speed production machinery\\nOwn and evolve the PPM system, ensuring schedules, compliance, and uptime\\nAct as the go-to problem-solver for complex mechanical and electrical faults\\nMentor and support junior engineers and apprentices\\nCollaborate closely with production teams to prevent downtime and improve reliability\\nWork across a range of equipment: conveyors, weighers, chillers, mixers, sealers, packaging lines\\nSupport automation, upgrade, and installation projects\\nEnsure compliance with food safety, H&S, and engineering best practices\\nLead on record-keeping: parts usage, fault logs, trend analysis, and asset history\\nDrive root cause analysis and contribute to site-wide CI initiativesWhat We're Looking For\\n\\nExperience in a senior/lead maintenance role within a food, FMCG, or regulated environment\\nMultiskilled engineering background – electrical & mechanical (approx. 50/50 or 60/40 split)\\nConfident with 3-phase, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and automated production systems\\nStrong fabrication and basic welding ability\\nProactive, calm under pressure, and a clear communicator\\nHigh safety and compliance standards\\nPassion for improving systems and upskilling othersPerks & Benefits\\n\\nCompetitive salary: £50-60k DOE\\nAXA private healthcare – including full cancer cover\\nLearning & Development budget\\nAnnual wellbeing allowance\\n28 days holiday\\n1 volunteer day per year\\nOption to work abroad up to 2 weeks annually (role-dependent)\\nMonthly employee recognition scheme\\nStaff discounts for friends and family\\nQuarterly team socials\\nBirthday off (or an alternative if it falls on a weekend)\\nOption to sell back up to 1 week of unused holiday per yearInterested?\\n Think you've got what it takes?
