Immediate start on a short term contract initially working as a panel wireman for a company who manufacture test equipment for the automotive sector. Likelihood is the contract will be extended as the order book is strong. Loads of overtime is available and paid at 1.5 of your hourly rate.

In the role you will be working for a global leader within the automotive sector, my client is part of a company who have sites all over the world and close to 50,000 employees. Working for this market leader who have been going for over 90 years now you will be part of a team who design, manufacture and supply equipment for the automotive sectors. You'll be working within a purpose built facility and within assembly you'll be working on one off assemblies to larger batch production.

The staff on the shop floor work a 4 day week so you will be contracted to work a minimum of a 37.5 hour week Monday - Wednesday 7am - 5pm and Thursday 7am - 4:30pm. You will have the opportunity to work overtime on Friday and Saturdays from 7am to 2pm, they do open longer on some of these days if there is an appetite for it.

Job duties will include:

  • Electrical build & wiring of products.
  • Electrical build & wiring of machines.
  • Use of Electrical procedures / Drawings.
  • Accurately record build status & faults on transit documentation.
  • Manufacture/repair electrical looms as required.
