My client is looking to grow their quality team with someone like yourself, they are expanding and the order book is getting bigger which is great to see within the automotive sector. This is a role working for a leading international automotive supplier specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality components and assemblies. They work on a global scale and partner with many high-end OEMs / Tier 1 suppliers. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where engineering excellence, safety and quality are at the heart of everything they do.
Looking for you to provide quality assistance to customers and in-house teams by proactively eliminating rejects and investigating any quality concerns. We need you to come with strong problem-solving skills and good knowledge of customer approval processes & APQP. A strong manufacturing background is required; my client supplies into the automotive sector but is happy to be flexible on your background here.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out effective and timely corrective action and preventive action to respond to customer complaints using such tools as 8D, QPR, 5 Why
- Ensure transfer to Production of new products is in accordance with customer-defined APQP processes, such as PPAP / PSW / AAR.
- Visit customers and build strong relationships.
- Responsible for continuous improvement activities.
- Quality reporting/auditing.
Required skills/experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of working within quality-focused positions
- Manufacturing background
- Knowledge of IATF16949
- Experience in control plans, PFMEA, PPAP, 8D etc.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems
