The Collective Network is recruiting on behalf of a leading precision machining specialist supplying complex components to the robotics, aerospace and space sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer with strong Openmind Hypermill knowledge to join a business at the forefront of advanced manufacturing.

Working within a highly skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and optimising machining strategies for complex, high-precision components. From reviewing engineering drawings through to proving out programs on the shop floor, you'll play a key role in ensuring parts are manufactured efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing machining processes
  • Selecting appropriate cutting tools
  • Generating detailed setup documentation
  • Validating programs through simulation before release to production
  • Supporting first-off manufacture and inspection activities
  • Making program amendments where necessary to achieve dimensional conformity
  • Designing and developing bespoke fixtures and work-holding solutions

You will work closely with machinists and quality inspectors to ensure components meet exacting customer specifications. We're looking for a CNC Programmer with proven experience using Openmind Hypermill, a strong understanding of multi-axis machining, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings. Experience within aerospace, space, motorsport or other high-precision manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
