Head of Operations Location: Leciestershire Salary: Up to £100,000 Some roles are a job. This one’s a career move. You’d be running the full operations function for a food manufacturing site. People, process and product, across every shift. You’ll report into the Site Lead and sit on the Site Leadership Team, which means you’re not just delivering the plan. You’re helping write it. And here’s the bit that matters. The hiring manager is one of the best I’ve worked with. Forward thinking, open to new ideas, and genuinely set on putting this site at the front of the industry. If you’ve ever felt held back by “that’s how we’ve always done it,” this is the antidote. True Industry 4.0 and beyond. What you’ll actually be doing Owning the numbers. Manufacturing spend, budget and productivity all sit with you, and you’ll have the authority to act on them. Finding the bottlenecks and fixing them. Labour, waste, flow. You’ll spot where time and money are leaking and put it right. Deciding where the capex goes. You’ll identify and prioritise the projects that move the efficiency plan forward, then make sure new kit actually delivers once it lands. Keeping people safe. You’ll lead the health, safety and environment plan across the operational teams and make wellbeing part of how the site runs, not a poster on the wall. Leading from the front. A big operational team that’s engaged, focused and performing because they want to, not because they’re told to. What you’ll bring A track record leading manufacturing teams in a complex food manufacturing site. Level 3 Health and Safety, IOSH Real accountability for customer service, not just exposure to it. A sharp analytical head and the ability to land change in a complex operation, from idea through to deployment. Modern manufacturing and planning know-how. Operational Excellence experience would be a big plus. Why this one? Plenty of Head of Operations roles out there. Not many with a boss who’ll back you to try things, invest in the site, and push the industry forward. That’s the difference. Interested? Drop me a message or apply here and let’s have a proper chat
