We’re seeking a dynamic HR Advisor/Office Manager to support our teams.
The Mission
The HR Advisor & Office Manager acts as a strategic bridge between global people operations and the workplace environment. This dual-impact role focuses on providing expert HR guidance and coaching to managers, ensuring legal compliance and a high-performance culture, while also providing high-level oversight of the office environment. Reporting directly into the Head of HR, you will be responsible for ensuring that both our people and our physical workspaces are optimised for success.
The Gearbox
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of our HR records on our HRIS Bob.
- Manage the employment administration from on-boarding to off-boarding working closely with our in-house Recruiter.
- Provide day-to-day general HR support to employees and managers across the business, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Act as the lead HR on all global ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management, ensuring all actions are legally compliant.
- Partner with the department managers to improve leadership capability, providing guidance on performance management and all people issues.
- Support the Head of HR with the creation and rollout of HR policies and procedures in line with current employment law and best practices.
- Lead the monthly payroll process (collating changes, bonuses, and commissions) and manage relationships with external benefit providers.
- Work with the Head of HR to analyse employee engagement survey data and design initiatives to improve workplace culture and retention.
Office Management
- Oversee the office environment and manage facility vendors to ensure a premium workspace experience (supplies, kitchen stocking, and overall tidiness).
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale employee events, off-sites, and workplace initiatives that drive internal engagement.
- Serve as the Lead Health & Safety officer, ensuring risk assessments are conducted and all H&S legislation is adhered to.
The Specs (What We’ll Need From You)
- 2-5 years of experience in an HR advisory capacity.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience of working with a HRIS & ATS software - Hibob and workable are preferred.
- CIPD Qualified.
