Overview
Team Marketing and Communications
Reports to Chief Marketing and Communications officer
Your Purpose
You will work in partnership with the CMCO to develop strategy, plans and lead specific activities and initiatives. You will build the best team to deliver operational marketing activities across the CHC to support each stage of the individual projects. You will be focused on building our brand identity and credibility and increasing awareness and understanding of why the projects exist. You will work collaboratively across the CHC teams to ensure compelling marketing content, materials and communications are created for both internal and external audiences.

Experience / Skills
- Experienced in internal corporate communications and/or external communications, social/digital marketing.
- Previous experience of working for Charities and/or volunteer organisations is desirable but not required.
- Understanding of social media in a professional setting and how to leverage social media/viral messaging as part of a PR strategy.
- Articulate written, visual and verbal communicator, excellent copy accuracy and proofreading skills; fluency in English is essential.
- Experienced in leading projects from start to finish.
- Experience in building and leading a team.
- A strong network of PR and media contacts would be highly advantageous.
Your Responsibilities
As a Marketing team lead your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and owning the Marcomms strategy and comms plan to support the project.
- Leading internal and external Marcomms projects, activities and campaigns that help build awareness of our brand and mission.
- Building, leading and inspiring the Marcomms team, ensuring team goals are agreed and communicated to support the achievement of our overall goals.
- Protecting our brand identity, ensuring it is delivered consistently internally and externally.
- Building awareness to support funding opportunities and, in collaboration with internal stakeholders including the funding team, manage Marcomms requirements and spending.
- Driving team integration across the wider marketing teams for the CHC, as well as with our shared support team of Graphic Designers and Website Managers.
- Working closely with the People Team to create an internal comms plan, ensuring all internal comms engaging and consistent.
- Identifying, initiating and leading on marketing projects which align to the strategy and realise our goals.
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the various teams and people across the CHC, namely the CFK delivery and educational content teams, FAS operations team and the project leadership teams as well as external partners as required. Attend and make positive contributions to internal meetings, including the monthly club meeting, Marcoms team meetings and other meetings as required.
