Provide outstanding pastoral leadership for a designated year group. Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and student wellbeing. Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external agencies. Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving success. Monitor attendance, behaviour and progress, implementing effective interventions where required. Work closely with teaching staff, safeguarding teams and senior leaders to ensure students receive the support they need.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience of working with young people in an educational, youth work or pastoral setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Be organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Can motivate, support and challenge students to achieve their very best.
