We are looking to recruit a 35-hour Qualified Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 493‑branch located at 14 The Green, Southwick, Sunderland, SR5 2JE.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday 09:00-18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Tuesday 09:00-18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Wednesday 09:00-18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Friday 09:00-18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Saturday 09:00-12:00

Responsibilities

As a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the business in providing an efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for supporting the dispensing and labelling of prescription items. Additional duties include receiving prescriptions, handing out prescription items, and assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services is essential; skills in planning, attention to detail, and working under pressure are all required. Great people skills are paramount; you will work as part of a well‑established team to ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
