The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.
We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver to work on a 12-month fixed term contract at our 505 branch at 2 Broadway, Skerton, Lancaster, LA1 2BU. Opening hours for our branch are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00. We are looking for an individual who is flexible to work within these branch opening times, has great people skills and the desire to provide a professional service standard to both our customers and the Pharmacy Teams.
Compensation and Travel
Reimbursement for mileage undertaken on business journeys will be at a rate of 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, after which 25p a mile will be reimbursed as per HMRC guidelines. Fuel receipts should be obtained for each visit to the petrol station and the mileage claim submitted on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities
- Your main responsibility will be to promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes.
- Provide a high standard of customer service and portray a friendly professional image as an ambassador for the Cohens brand.
- Work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within the designated time frame.
- Ensure prescription items are delivered in line with the company's regulated procedures (attention to detail).
- Have very basic computer skills to plan and print daily routes in branch before departure.
- You may be required to assist with PR exercises to increase business.
- You are required to use your own vehicle for this role; personal insurance must allow for business use. Contact your insurer to obtain information prior to interview. Business insurance refers to the vehicle only, not contents. The Company will contribute financially to the business aspect of insurance upon receipt of documents showing any increased premium.
