We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver to work on a permanent contract to provide cover in the Harrogate area when required. Opening hours for our branches are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00 and we are looking for an individual who is flexible to work within these branch opening times, who has great people skills and the desire to provide a professional service standard to both our customers and the Pharmacy Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes.
  • Maintain a friendly professional image and act as an ambassador for Cohens brand while providing a high standard of customer service.
  • Work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within the designated period of time.
  • Plan and print daily routes in branch before setting off to begin deliveries.
  • Assist with PR exercises to increase business when required.
  • Use own vehicle and ensure personal insurance policy allows for business use; provide documentation to receive a financial contribution towards business insurance premium.
  • Submit weekly mileage claims with fuel receipts, reimbursed at 42p per mile up to 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile thereafter as per HMRC guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Own vehicle with business use insurance.
  • Flexible to work Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00.
  • Great people skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery times.
  • Willingness to maintain accurate prescription procedures in line with company regulations.
