We are looking to recruit a 40‑hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a fixed‑term contract to work at our 451‑branch located at 77 High Street East, Glossop, SK13 8PN.

The proposed shift pattern is as follows:

  • Monday 09:00‑18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Tuesday 09:00‑18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Wednesday 09:00‑18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Thursday 09:00‑18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Friday 09:00‑18:00 (1‑hour unpaid lunch break)

Through this role you will gain knowledge and skills that may lead to the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing. The position is ideal for someone with previous customer‑service experience who is willing to undertake the relevant training courses.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense and label prescription items under guidance and supervision from the pharmacist.
  • Assist with ordering and managing stock levels within the dispensary and shop.
  • Work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Provide a high standard of service with excellent people skills as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer‑service experience.
  • Willingness to undertake training (Counter Course, NVQ level 2).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent people skills and teamwork.
