We are looking to recruit a 20-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a fixed term contract to work at our 335-branch located at Ground Floor, Globe Mill, Bridge Street, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, HD7 5JN. The proposed shift pattern is Monday 10:00‑18:00 (30 minutes unpaid lunch break), Thursday 10:00‑18:00 (30 minutes unpaid lunch break) and Friday 13:00‑18:00.
While working in this branch you will gain excellent knowledge and skills that will help you successfully attain the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing. This position is ideally suited to someone with previous customer service experience who is willing to undertake the relevant training courses in order to progress.
Duties will include:
- Accurately dispensing and labelling prescription items under the guidance and supervision of the Pharmacist.
- Assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary and the shop.
The utmost attention to detail is required in this role, as is the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. You will also have a desire to learn and progress your career in our business. Great people skills are paramount; you will work as part of a well‑established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
