We are looking to recruit a 40-hour Trainee Counter Assistant on a fixed term contract to work at our 021-branch located at 12/13 Marian Square, Bootle, Liverpool, L30 5QA.
Shift Pattern
- Monday 09:00 – 18:00 (one-hour unpaid break)
- Tuesday 09:00 – 18:00 (one-hour unpaid break)
- Wednesday 09:00 – 18:00 (one-hour unpaid break)
- Thursday 09:00 – 18:00 (one-hour unpaid break)
- Friday 09:00 – 18:00 (one-hour unpaid break)
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the Pharmacist and assist customers with the sale of over-the-counter medicines, offering advice on information, symptoms and products, as well as promoting the additional services that our branch offers.
- Replenish stock and support the pharmacy team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ideally suited for someone with previous customer service experience, with the utmost attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
- Great people skills are paramount; you will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure customers receive a high standard of service.
Training
You will be enrolled onto a Medicines Counter Assistant Course that you will complete in-branch over a period of time and once qualified you will be able to confidently:
- Support colleagues in running a successful pharmacy service
- Advise customers on how to manage common conditions encountered in the pharmacy
- Recommend over-the-counter products appropriately to customers
- Support colleagues with receiving and handing out prescriptions
