We are looking to recruit a 32-hour Dispensing Technician to work at our 484-branch located in 68 Brook Road, Trowbridge, BA14 9DL.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid break)
  • Tuesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid break)
  • Thursday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid break)
  • Friday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid break)

Responsibilities

  • As a Dispensing Technician you will have successfully completed the NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Take responsibility for providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for carrying out dispensing duties.
  • Receive, assemble and dispense prescriptions.
  • Advise customers on alternative medicine or care needs where appropriate.
  • Deal with complex medication enquiries on behalf of and under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Support the branch by promoting new services and products as required.
  • Build customer relationships and establish their needs.
  • Provide friendly advice and demonstrate excellent product knowledge and services.
  • Coach others to do the same.
  • Work under pressure and maintain strict deadlines.
  • Be part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Excellent planning, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Great people skills and passion for people and pharmacy operations.
