Overview
We are looking to recruit an 18 Hour Prescription Delivery Driver on a permanent contract to work between at our 532 branch located at 38 Princess Street, Knutsford, WA16 6BN. The required working hours are: Tuesday 12:00-17:00; Wednesday 13:00-17:00; Thursday 13:00-17:00; Friday 12:00-17:00. We are seeking an individual who is flexible, has great people skills and the desire to provide a professional service standard to both our customers and the Pharmacy Teams.
Your main responsibility will be to promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes. You will portray a friendly, professional image and act as an ambassador for the Cohens brand. You must be able to work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within the designated period.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes in a timely and accurate manner in line with company procedures.
- Provide a high standard of customer service and maintain a professional appearance as an ambassador for the Cohens brand.
- Plan and print daily routes in branch before starting deliveries; use basic computer skills to support delivery planning.
- Assist with PR exercises to increase business as required.
- Work as part of a well-established team to ensure customers receive a high standard of service.
- Operate using your own vehicle; ensure your personal insurance policy includes business use and obtain business insurance information if needed. The company may contribute to the business aspect of the insurance upon receipt of appropriate documentation.
Requirements
- Flexible, with excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Own vehicle with appropriate business use insurance.
- Very basic computer skills to plan and print routes.
- DBS check required as part of recruitment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Mileage reimbursement at 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles; 25p per mile thereafter, in line with HMRC guidelines.
- Fuel receipts to be obtained for each visit; mileage claims submitted weekly.
- Discretionary bonus scheme.
- 4 weeks\' paid holiday, plus statutory holidays (pro-rata for part-time employees).
