About You

You will be an experienced Payroll Specialist to support the next phase of our growth as we scale from 43 to 200 stores. You’ll bring strong end-to-end payroll expertise, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be confident navigating change while helping to build scalable payroll processes for a growing business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Payroll (Core Focus)
- Manage end-to-end weekly/ monthly payroll processing for approximately 450 employees using ADP
- Review, validate, and reconcile weekly timesheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, queries, and adjustments
- Maintain accurate records of holiday, absence, and statutory leave
- Process payroll changes including pay adjustments, contractual updates, and deductions
- Administer payroll for new starters and leavers, including final payments
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies
- Maintain and update employee records across HR and payroll systems
- Support onboarding processes, including contracts, right-to-work checks, and system setup
- Manage employee lifecycle administration (starters, movers, leavers)
- Issue contracts, offer letters, and contractual change documentation
- Support absence tracking and reporting in collaboration with managers
- Act as a first point of contact for employee queries relating to payroll and HR administration
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance documentation
- Support wider HR initiatives and projects as the business grows
